A Bouncie alternative that needs no plug-in device
Bouncie is a GPS device that plugs into a car’s OBD-II port and reports that vehicle’s location, trips, speed, accidents and health. BuckledApp runs on your teen’s phone instead, so it covers every car they drive or ride in, including friends’ cars. It checks the seatbelt and locks distracting apps while driving. It doesn’t track the vehicle.

What Bouncie does well
It tracks the car itself: location, routes, trip history, speed bands, geo-zones, accident notification and engine diagnostics. It works whoever is driving and doesn’t depend on the teen’s phone.
What it doesn’t do
A device in the car can’t see the seatbelt or the phone. It also only covers that one vehicle, so a ride in a friend’s car isn’t covered.
Which to choose
You own the car and want to know where it is and how it is driven: Bouncie. You want your teen buckled up and off their phone in any car: BuckledApp. They work well together.
