Seatbelt and phone enforcement for every driver in your fleet

Distracted driving and unbelted crashes are the two most expensive, most preventable risks a fleet carries. BuckledApp makes both non-negotiable on the driver’s own phone, with no hardware to install and a dashboard that shows you who is actually protected.

Organization-enforced protection

You distribute a single organization code. Every driver who joins has BuckledApp protection turned on automatically and cannot switch it off. Right after sign-in they are guided through a mandatory three-step setup; until it is complete, the dashboard shows “Setup needed” rather than a false green light.

At 20 MPH the driver takes a 2.5-second seatbelt selfie. Driver Focus then keeps distracting apps locked until the vehicle stops. Navigation, dispatch, music and calls stay available, and you choose which apps are considered safe.

The fleet dashboard

See every member’s status in one place: setup complete or missing (and which permission is missing), signed in or signed out, last seatbelt check result and time, and current protection state. Signing out of the app is reported to you immediately, and protection continues to run on the device until they sign back in.

Cooldown and check frequency

After a passed check, drivers are not asked again for a cooldown period you configure for your organization. Individuals get a fixed 48 hours; organizations can set it to match their duty cycle.

Pricing

Organizations are priced per driver account with volume tiers. Tell us how many accounts you need and the best time to reach you, and we will follow up with a quote and onboarding plan. Schools, sports teams and youth programs use the same system to protect student drivers.

Questions we get asked

Does it work for trucks and fleets?

Yes. Fleet operators, schools and teams distribute a single organization code. Every driver who joins has protection turned on automatically and cannot switch it off, and the fleet dashboard shows who has finished setup, who is signed out, and each driver’s last seatbelt check.

Can my teen bypass the phone lock during an emergency?

Yes. Emergency calling is never blocked, and the Phone app remains available for calls. Navigation apps such as Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze, plus music and podcast apps, stay accessible during Driver Focus. Only distracting apps — social media, video and games — are locked while the vehicle is moving, and they unlock automatically once the car has stopped.

Which apps count as “distracting apps”?

TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, games and similar apps. On iPhone, BuckledApp uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework and you choose which apps stay available while driving. On Android you pick a list of safe apps and everything else is shielded during a drive.

Does BuckledApp track my teen’s live GPS location?

It does not need to. BuckledApp enforces the rules on the phone itself — the seatbelt is verified and distracting apps are locked whether or not anyone is watching — and reports the result. Parents on Safety+ see, for each child, that BuckledApp is on, that the last seatbelt check passed and when, and that protection is set up correctly, with an alert if it is switched off. Location and motion permissions are used on the phone only to measure speed and detect when a drive starts and stops; a live map or route history is not part of the product, which is a big reason teens keep it running.
